When I’m not attempting to sell computer systems to hotels, or enjoying life with my girlfriend, I like nothing more than locking myself away in the spare room and indulging in something that has always captivated, frustrated and enthralled me – making music.
The term ‘bedroom musician’isn’t particularly favourable, nor is it likely to win you many friends (it could also be misconstrued as something rather more carnal, although I can assure you that isn’t the case in this instance). I have, however, made music pretty much purely for my own pleasure for well over 15 years and can trace it back to sitting at my dad’s Roland D5 keyboard, bashing midi notes into one of the very first versions of the music sequencer, Cubase, on the Atari ST.
Things have moved on a bit now, but my thirst for creativity is still very much there.
