Came across the following page on the WordPress official blog: http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2009/07/02/nablopomo09/.
Posting a blog a day for a month sounds like quite a challenge. For someone like me, anyway, who manages about one a week at the moment (unless I can find something more interesting to do, which is quite often).
I must admit I’m not entirely clear on the rules; as I’ve picked this up on the 8th July, can I count a month from this date to the 8th August? The official NaBloPoMo FAQ isn’t entirely clear on the matter:
You can join at any time and send in your link for the blogroll after the month has begun. The only month where starting late might matter is November, when you won’t be eligible for the random prize drawing if you haven’t posted every day from the 1st to the 30th. But there’s always next year.
So I guess if I start now I’m cheating somewhat and in fact benefitting from a short month. However, that’s still 23 blogs I’m going to have to write over the next 23 days. I need to start loosing freinds and alienating people.
A blog a day? Really?
I’ll give it a bash. See you tomorrow (with something inifinitely more interesting, hopefully).
